Honored with a NEA/Federal Design Achievement Award, the preservation of the home of the 20th U.S. President and site of the country's first "front porch" political campaign is recognized for its accuracy, detail, and integrity. The redesign of the 7.8 acre Historic Site included the restoration of the main house, grounds, and several outbuildings as a house museum and the adaptation of the carriage house for a new visitor information center. Westlake Reed Leskosky led an interdisciplinary team of experts under joint partnership of the National Park Service with The Western Reserve Historical Society of Ohio.
