Westlake Reed Leskosky's master plan creates a residential oasis within the urban Warehouse District, Cleveland's 19th century manufacturing and wholesale center. A prominent Cleveland developer had acquired a city block of the historic district for a mixed-use project, encompassing nearly 1 million square feet of leasable space. Planned for implementation in three phases over three years, the design addresses the deep and dark buildings originally designed for manufacturing and storage. The plan complements original architectural features and works within the constraints of existing structural barriers, interior support columns and load-bearing walls.
